In the final year of your graduation or after completing your graduation, you have to appear for CAT. Based on your CAT score you can apply to IIMs for 2 year programme. Generally IIMs have a high cutoff for shortlisting, the details of which you can find on IIM websites

I'm sorry I've no idea about sambalpur IIM, but I think Placement wise the location of SIMSREE will always have an edge.

Recruiters prefer MBA with 3 to 4 years work experience over fresher MBA in campus recruitment. I suggest gain 3 to 4 years managerial / supervisory experience for getting a push to your career after MBA.

If your background is from Engineering. It's a plus point in MBA. If you have any work experience, you can do executive MBA also. It is beneficial in the end.

complete your graduation with 60% or more then 60% and try to remove your backlog before completion of your graduation if you have any. No backlog will provide you an extra advantage. Then you have to appear in CAT exam and try to obtain more then 97% for good IIM and then the last step is that you have to appear in GD-PI session of IIM. prepare very well for that beacuse it is also a very main part of admission.

Yes, there are. IIMs are known to promote diversity and they strive to get good candidates from all domains (For example: we have doctors, lawyers too). However IIMs do not offer any advantage to BBA graduate over others and you will have to compete with everyone else to get a seat in IIMs.
