No, the eligibility criteria for admission to IITs and NITs is based on the JEE-Main score and in IITs on the basis of JEE-Advance score. There is no percentage criteria for this session i.e. 2023-24. So as long as you fulfill the eligibility criteria for JEE-Main and JEE-Advance, you should be eligible for admission to IITs and NITs¹.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Aspirants who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in PCM are eligible to pursue B.Tech courses. IIT Dharwad requires applicants to take standardised entrance exams such as the Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main and the JEE Advanced. The scores from these exams and the applicant's class 12th scores are used to determine eligibility and ranking for admission into the B.Tech programme.

Hello SSD, this question keeps cropping up again and again in different forums and even in the courts of law. This rule is in vogue for many years now and it was relaxed only during the covid times when normal schooling was disrupted due to the pandemic. There are many cases when students have scored quite handsomely in JEE Mains but they have failed to secure 75% marks in there 12 board and as a result they were unable to compete in JEE Advanced examination. In one of the extreme cases which has come into the LimeL

There are 2 criteria for NITs, IIITs, IITs, and GFTIs. First: You need to have at least 75% in your respective board exam. Second: You need to meet the top 20 percentile criteria. If you meet any one of these criteria, you are eligible. Now the Question arises What is the top 20% percentile? The top 20 percentile means you must be in the top 20% scorer in your board exam. Every year respective board releases a notice regarding the criteria for the top 20 percentile after a few days after releasing the board result. So if you didn't score 75%, do lo

For the candidates who qualify for admission in the IITs, NITs, IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE Main or JEE Advanced ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 examination conducted by respective Boards. So you are not eligible.

If you don't have Maths in your 12th then you are not eligible for IITs or IITs as you can get admissions in these colleges only by JEE Mains & Advance, both of these exams have equal weightage of Maths along with Physics & Chemistry so if you don't have Maths in your 12th, then you are not eligible for these exams hence for IITs & IIITs.
