Hello Yuvan, to get admission in any IIT, a student needs to be eligible to appear for JEE advanced as a first stage. At the second stage he needs to score quite well in JEE advanced so that the student gets admission in the desired course.
After the conclusion of all the sessions planned for a particular year, National Testing Agency, announces the results of JEE mains. They declare the ranking of all the students and also cut off marks for each of the categories. Hi there. The eligibility criteria for class 12 percentage was removed earlier due to Covid 19. But the criteria is back in place now. From 2023 for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), candidates are required to score at least 75% marks in their Class 12 board exams. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the minimum required marks are 60%. Meeting this eligibility criterion is essential to be considered for admissions to these prestigious institutes.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech at IIT Tirupati are required to meet with the minimum eligibility criteria (required for the course) and also have a valid score in the GATE exam. To be eligible, candidates must have one of the following:
- Completed their BE/ BTech/ BSc (Eng) with at least 60% aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or 6.0 CPI (5.5 in case of SC/ST/PWD) out of 10 OR
- a first-class specified by the university OR
- BTech degree holders from any of the IITs with a minimum CPI of 8.0 will be directly admitted to M.Tech programme (under Teaching Assistants position through a written test/ or an Interview).

Hello dear,
I am sorry but for the eligibility you must have the top 20 percentile students of each education board will now be eligible to seek admission in IITs and NITs and appear for JEE Advanced even if they have not scored 75 per cent marks in class 12.

The students are shortlisted for the BTech programme based on their JEE Main and JEE Advanced score followed by JoSAA counselling. More details are as follows:
- Admission to 100% of the seats in BTech is done on the basis of JEE Advanced ranks during JoSAA counselling
- Cutoff reservations, however, are applicable to SC/ ST/ EWS/ OBC-NCL/ PwD candidates as per Govt. of India rules

Yes, you are eligible for IITs if you belong to the SC category and qualify the JEE Advanced even if you have less than 75% in your intermediate boards.
