There are a total of 170 seats for MSc courses at IIT Guwahati. This seat allotment varies for each of the course specialisations. The admission of the candidates is as per the selection criteria and sanctioned seat count. Moreover, the maximum number of seats are for MSc in Physic and MSc in Chemistry - 60. It must be noted that the seat intake mentioned is as per the official website. It is, however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

To apply for BTech at IIT Guwahati candidates are required to fill out the application form by visiting the official website of JEE Main. Given below are step-by-step process to apply for BTech:

Step 1: Register and appear for JEE Mains exam.

Step 2: Qualify JEE Main and appear for the JEE Adv. exam.

Step 3: Register for JoSAA Counselling.

Step 4: Seat Allotment is conducted by JoSAA.

Step 5: Report at alloted college and Pay the fee.

For BTech in CSE, IIT Guwahati has witnessed a fluctuating trend over the years for the General category students. The cutoff has decreased from 600 in 2021 to 589 in 2022, and then increased to 654 in 2023.JEE Advanced IIT Guwahati cutoff 2024
