Go for the branch in which you are interested. Both the colleges are good. But if asked particularly then go for IIT, Indore because rankings of IITs are good than NITs.

See the opening and closing rank you will get your answer. IIT, Indore has achieved 100% placements both in mechanical and computer science and 97% in electrical with a whopping package of 1.7 crores. CS average package is 15.5 lakhs. Indore is better city. It is well connected by airport. Placement get a advantage here. IIT, Indore has better coding culture. It has qualified two times for ACM ICPC. IIT Indore has best overall rank from India for all the ACM ICPCs held till now. IIT Indore has collaboration with CERN, so if you have good grades you get to intern at CERN.

Hello Anupam,
No, you cannot. You need to clear JEE Advanced with a good score to get admission at IITs. As you haven't clear JEE Mains, you cannot appear for JEE Advanced. So, you may try for colleges with your board exam marks or via any other entrance exams.

IIT Indore is also called as Centre of Astronomy there is lot of opportunities to make your career. You will get to learn lot of things regarding your subject. So, it is a good option and IIT, Indore has good records in case of astronomy.

Admission is based on the rank/score/ marks obtained in IIT-JAM and the registration form end date for IIT-JAm is 17th April 2018. Here, total 12 seats are available 6 for general/OBC, 3 for SC/ST.
