IIT Kanpur BTech students had record placements, with overall average packages around INR 26 LPA and the highest domestic/international offers was around INR 1.9 crore. This shows highly competitive compensation packages from top recruiters across industries.

During Phase-I of this placement session, IIT Kanpur received 1,202 offers from a wide range of recruiters. Students accepted 1,079 offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs). This shows a very strong placement record this year.

To get the core BTech branches, such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc, the SC category students must target a cutoff rank of up to 6585 for admission in Round 1. Admission to the B.E. / B.Tech. course at JP College of Engineering is primarily through the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counseling process. However, the college does have a limited number of seats available under a management quota. This management quota provides an opportunity for direct admission without a TNEA score, which can be an option for students who did not appear for the exam or did not secure a high rank. The fees for the management quota seats are typically higher, and you would need to contact the college's admission office directly for the specific process and fee details.
