The modes of IIT Kharagpur course admissions are online and offline. Admission to various courses is based on merit and scores of entrance tests. The accepted entrance exams are GATE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and others. Candidates must first visit the JEE Main website. Then appear for the JEE Main exams. Then take part in the counselling round and with valid scores pay the admission fee in the selected and the allotted college.

Studying at a prestigious IIT is like a dream come true for many students. IIT Kharagpur has been ranked 5th and 6th by the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2024 under the Engineering and Overall category, respectively. Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is also ranked 4th by India Today 2024 under the Engineering (Government), and Engineering categories. The placements offered to students are very good. Hence, students don't feel regretful about studying at this college.

It should be based on your career aspirations, passion for coding, and long-term career goals. If your interest lies in software and software-related careers, CSE at IIIT Gwalior is a viable choice because IIITs have great placements with IT companies.

Direct admissions are not possible for courses offered at IIT Kharagpur. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Advanced, JEE Main, and others. Candidates who have missed the JEE Main exams must not worry. These candidates can apply again the next year. Candidates willing to get admission must take part in the IIT Kharagpur admission process before the last date of application. Candidates must know their eligibility criteria and apply accordingly.
