IIT Roorkee MSc cutoff 2026 ranged from 126 to 904 in the first round for the OBC AI category. By the last round, the closing rank ranged from 158 to 1118. Hence, OBC AI category students need a rank of at least 1118 to be qualified for admission. Students in the General AI category need a rank of at least 924 to be considered eligible for admission. If students want to get admission to other, more competitive courses, like MSc in Physics, MSc in Chemistry, etc., then a rank of at least 250 or 212 is required. Look at the table below to know the highest rank needed by other categories.

For students belonging to the General AI quota, most of the BTech branches remained open till the last round for admission at IIT Roorkee. The cutoffs of different branches vary across rounds and categories. Some of the BTech branches, such as CSE, ECE, Civil, and Mechanical, etc., reflected a rise in the last round, closing ranks as compared to initial rounds, indicating IIT Roorkee seats remained vacant till the last round for BTech admission. Whether the branch will remain open till the last round or not depends on the availability of seats allocated for each category. In the meantime, candidates can check out the round-wise cutoff

The IIT Roorkee UCEED cutoff 2025 was released for different categories of students belonging to the All India quota. The institute accepts the UCEED entrance exam, followed by counselling rounds for B.Des admission. For the General category students belonging to the AI quota, the UCEED last round closing rank stood at 111. The category-wise cutoff details for the last round are tabulated below:

In 2026 admission, the maximum rank required in UCEED was 24 among the SC category for B.Des admission. Hence, 75 is not considered a good rank in UCEED for B.Des admission at IIT Roorkee for SC AI category students.

IIT Roorkee B.Des cutoff 2026 has been released for multiple rounds and categories. For the General AI category students, the maximum rank required in UCEED was 90 for admission to the B.Des course. To check out the category-wise break-up, refer to the table below:

Yes, for candidates belonging to the OBC category, admission is possible to a few courses at IIT Roorkee with a JEE Advanced cutoff rank of 4000 in the first round. For CSE admission at IIT Roorkee, the JEE Advanced Round 4 closing rank was 555 for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota. For the same specialisation and round, the closing rank was 481 in 2024, whereas in 2023, the cutoff rank stood at 405. Candidates seeking admission to BTech in CSE must target to secure a JEE Advanced rank of up to 550 or below.
