Some of the BTech branches, such as CSE, ECE, Civil, and Mechanical, etc., reflected a rise in the last round, closing ranks as compared to initial rounds, indicating IIT Roorkee seats remained vacant till the last round for BTech admission. Whether the branch will remain open till the last round or not depends on the availability of seats allocated for each category. In the meantime, candidates can check out the round-wise cutoff

In 2026 admission, the maximum rank required in UCEED was 24 among the SC category for B.Des admission. Hence, 75 is not considered a good rank in UCEED for B.Des admission at IIT Roorkee for SC AI category students.

The IIT Roorkee JAM Cutoff 2024 is out for Round 5. The most competitive course is M.Sc in Applied Geology, with the Cutoff of 52, for the General AI category candidates. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff rank for M.Sc in Applied Geology is 109.

If the Cutoff rank is more than 232, there is no scope for admission to IIT Roorkee, for the General AI category candidates. However, candidates can get admission under the cutoff varied from 52 to 232 for the General AI category.
