While the B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) programme at IIT Roorkee is highly reputed for its academic rigor, the placement scenario shows certain limitations compared to Lovely Professional University (LPU). The highest package offered was ?62.72 LPA, the average package stood at ?6.99 LPA, and the top 25% of students earned significantly higher packages. LPU emphasizes practical learning through industry-aligned curriculum, internships, live projects, hackathons, and industry collaborations, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience alongside theoretical knowledge.

While IIT Roorkee provides a strong academic foundation, LPU stands out for its higher placement rate, diverse recruiter participation, and practical skill-building opportunities. For students prioritizing industry exposure and consistent, well-paying placements in ECE, LPU presents a highly promising and strategically advantageous choice.
