IIT Roorkee accepts the UCEED entrance exam scores, followed by its counselling process for admission to BDes courses. So, to get a seat at the IIT Roorkee B.Des course, candidates must have a valid score to be eligible for the counselling process. For the General AI category students, the maximum UCEED cutoff rank required for admission was 90.

The IIT Roorkee JAM Cutoff 2024 is out for Round 5. The most competitive course is M.Sc in Applied Geology, with the Cutoff of 52, for the General AI category candidates. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff rank for M.Sc in Applied Geology is 109.

If the Cutoff rank is more than 232, there is no scope for admission to IIT Roorkee, for the General AI category candidates. However, candidates can get admission under the cutoff varied from 52 to 232 for the General AI category.

IIT Roorkee cutoff trend for B.Tech has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 6853. In 2023, it increased to 7100. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2811 to 3026 for OBC, 1378 to 1626 for SC, 375 to 422 for ST, 1198 to 1229 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. During IIT Roorkee cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 396 and closing rank was 412 for BTech in CSE course for the General All India category students. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 164 and 1165. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 17464. In 2023, it increased to 20728. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 5783 to 7288 for OBC, 3162 to 3182 for SC, 2804 to 3772 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

The cut off rank in Round 6 for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is 20728 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology.

IIT Roorkee cutoff 2023 ranks for Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) at IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are mentioned below:

  • 7288 for OBC
  • 3182 for SC
  • 3772 for EWS

While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
