The institute offer UG, PG, and Doctoral courses through its different departments. There are 14 departments of study at IIT Ropar namely Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Humanities, and Social Sciences. A wide variety of courses are offered through these diverse departments.

IIT Ropar offers two-year MSc courses in three streams, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Additionally, the fee for the IIT Ropar MSc course is INR 62.74 K. The duration of the course is for two years. Moreover, the entrance exam accepted for the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is IIT JAM. Candidates can apply online.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India established eight new IITs under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act in 2011 and IIT Ropar is one of these. So, yes IIT Ropar is a government institute. The institute has been ranked 22, and 33 by NIRF 2023 for Engineering and Overall category. Additionally, the Indian Institute of Technology has also been ranked 86 by the Times Higher Education.

Indian Institute of Technology offers various online courses to students like Industrial Biotechnology, The Science and Business of Biotechnology, Introduction to Genetics and Evolution, Introduction to Physiology, Dynamics and Control, The Basics of Transport Phenomena, and others. During IIT Mandi placements 2023, the highest package offered was INR 60 LPA whereas the highest package offered during IIT Ropar placements was INR 50 LPA. Moreover, the average package offered during IIT Mandi placements 2023 was INR 25.23 LPA whereas the average package offered at IIT Ropar was INR 18.80 LPA. Both the colleges has same eligibility criteria and accepts same entrance exam. So, based on the facts mentioned above, IIT Mandi's the highest package and average package was better this year.

What's new at IIT Ropar placements 2023? The average and median package offered was INR 18.80 LPA and INR 18 LPA during IIT Ropar placements 2022, respectively. A total of 252 students were placed and 100% placement rate was recorded during placements 2022.
