Good enough if we don't have other option.
Placements: Mining at NIT Raipur has decent but limited placements. Top recruiting companies are Coal India, SECL/WCL, CMPDI, NMDC, SAIL, and Vedanta. Packages are moderate. Most of the students prefer GATE exam for the job, and some for master of technology.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. But the only problem is that it has only few seats in the hostel. Rest have to find PG (paying guest) or flat for them which is available around the college within a 1 km range. It has 2 canteens, and they are actually good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. As I am in first year, I can't say about the industry level. But the semester exams are tough enough to get fails. In every semester, there is at least one difficult subject that we have to study carefully.

Satisfied with placements, but needs more improvement in infrastructure.
Placements: In Information technology, about 80% are placed on campus, the rest are pursuing higher education, and some are placed off campus. The highest package is around 55 LPA, the average is around 17-18 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA in IT. You can get a job opportunity in any field in web development or software engineering.
Infrastructure: The course department is good. Good classrooms and Wi-Fi are available. There is a fully functional and furnished library. There is one problem in the hostel that not everyone is allotted a hostel in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year it's allotted on merit (rank), gender and category. Wi-Fi is present in the hostel premises.
Faculty: Faculty are generally good, and all are quite supportive. In college, the faculty will only teach you the course, but you yourself have to focus on yourself. The course curriculum is outdated, like any other NIT. Semester exam difficulties depend upon the semester and the paper prepared by teachers, generally, the first semester is easy-going. But it starts to get tough after 2 years. All professors in the IT areas are very supportive.

Good at placement for the core branch.
Placements: Placements are moderate, with core roles like site and project engineer. Average packages are decent, but internships and top offers depend largely on student initiative and skills.
Infrastructure: Truly talking about the hostel. There are less hostel rooms than required by the students. Major problem with my college is that main college and campus area is only 100 acres. Hostels that are available are also not that good to stay.
Faculty: Faculty members as you know are average at NIT/IIT. They are well qualified but we can't understand their English accent. Talking about the exams, NIT Raipur is very particular about exams, they are very punctual and level of the questions is good enough that's all. NIT Raipur civil engineering program offers strong fundamentals with experienced faculty and a structured curriculum.
Other: The only thing about NITs I like is their fee structure. As it is very low compared to the other private colleges which don't even have remarkable placements.

Four years of ventures at NIT Raipur.
Placements: Many students were placed this year. 18 LPA is the average package offered. De Shaw is the top recruiting company. 4-5 students were getting an internship. Recruiting companies are Zscaler, Cisco, Trilogy, Visa, HSBC, GE Healthcare, Fanatics. Software developer and data analyst roles are offered by many core companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on the campus and in the hostel. Two canteens are there, Vachan and Vihana, inside the campus. Regular lab classes are there. Separate labs are available for each branch. The hostel is also good. The room is very spacious. Triple sharing is for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years.
Faculty: Faculty members and the curriculum are also good. Two exams, mid sem and end-of-semester exams, are there. 4 units for each subject, 20marks from each unit. Mid sem is of 30 marks. The end-of-semester is of 50 marks, and the teacher assignment is of 20 marks. A very old faculty full of knowledge is here.
Other: The campus is also good. The environment is also good. Nature is also good. Small campus, which I like. Scholarship is also available for students.

They provide good placements in the mechanical ongoing session.
Placements: I am from the mechanical engineering branch. The placement percentage is about 90 percent. The highest package is 21 LPA, the lowest is 8 LPA, and the average package is 10 LPA. In my course, the top recruiting companies are Dassault Systèmes, JSPL, JSW, Reliance, and Caterpillar. In my course role, I offer data analytics, GET evt.
Infrastructure: In my course, a lot of labs are available, like the material testing lab, the engineering mechanics lab, the Rac lab, the measurement and control lab, the heat engine lab, Wi-Fi, and the library. In my hostel, everything is good, but one disadvantage is that there is a shortage of hostel space, so most of the students live outside. Medical facilities, sports, and games are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly, and the teaching quality is good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. The difficulty level is moderate. The two exams are conducted mid sem and end-of-semester sem The passing percentage is 90 percent.
Other: I chose this because of my interest in automobiles. I want to improve in the field of autonomous vehicles. The main event in my college is Eklectika. The main scholarship is NSP 5.

Life of a mechanical engineer at NIT Raipur.
Placements: In our branch, about 90 Mechanical students were placed. The highest package was around 19 LPA, the average stood near 10 LPA, and the lowest was about 6 LPA. Top recruiters included Tata Motors, Mahindra, L&T, JSW, etc. Overall, good maximums are placed for those who are eligible.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at NIT Raipur are manageable but not the best. Since rooms are limited, not every student gets hostel accommodation. The essentials like mess, Wi-Fi, and common areas are there, but the overall infrastructure could definitely be better.
Faculty: The faculty is helpful, the curriculum covers the important subjects well, and exams are mostly mid-seems and end-seems with a mix of theory and numericals. So, the overall difficulty level is around 80 per cent. Bit copy checking is strict, so it is difficult to score.
Other: It's a better college than some colleges. If the student is good, then there is no problem for their career.

NIT Raipur cutoff 2025 has been released for the third round. For candidates seeking admission to the college via JEE Main, it is neccessary to obtain a rank as per the category-wise cutoff list. NIT Raipur cutoff 2025 has been released for the third round. For candidates seeking admission to the college via JEE Main, it is neccessary to obtain a rank as per the category-wise cutoff list. The cutoff among the General AI category, the cutoff ranks varied between 536 and 18007. Therefore, candidates belonging to the General AI category must obtain a score of 18007 or less to get admission to the college.

NIT Raipur MTeach cutoff 2025 has been released for various specialisations, rounds and categories. This year, in 2025, the M.Tech cutoff 2025 ranged from 354 to 590 for candidates belonging to the General category, All India quota, wherein M.Tech in Energy and Environment proved to be the toughest, and on the other hand, M.Tech. in Power System and Control, the easiest, according to the lowest last round score. The competition for M.Tech in Energy and Environment has significantly increased since last year because in 2024, the last round cutoff was 355.  Please make a note that other categories and rounds have different cutoffs for the same course specialisations

No, candidates are not allowed to get admission into BTech courses a NIT Raipur without JEE Main scores. Only candidates from abroad are eligible for direct admission through DASA. It is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance test, followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling.
