A score of 10.33 marks in the GATE EEE exam significantly reduces the chances of obtaining admission to any IIT for any stream branch, as this is far below the usual cut-off marks for even the low-ranked ones; most probably, this score will not secure you any IIT admission.

good luck

If you have already finished your M.Tech from an IIT, you are usually exempted from appearing for GATE for a PhD programme in most institutes and even IITs. Several IITs as well as other research-oriented institutes relax the GATE requirement for M.Tech holders, particularly from IITs, considering that you have a strong academic record and research potential. However, the general rules for PhD admission vary from institute to institute and department to department. It is prudent to check the individual PhD admission guidelines of the IIT or other institutes you're interested in to confirm whether any other entrance exams or qualificati

Pursuing paramedical programs is eligible to apply for the IIT Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. in Biotechnology (IIT JAM);

However, you need to meet the eligibility requirements as stated by the participating IITs so that you will be able to get admission. There are, however, some basic criteria laid down by these institutes, by which, invariably, the candidate possesses an undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline and has certain minimum percentage marks that vary institution to institution.

 About specific eligibility for IIT JAM Biotechnology, check across the official IIT JAM site or the sites of participating IITs to assur

Moving on from a Career in Mathematics at the Indian Institutes of Technology to UPSC is quite a complex choice based on individual interests, capability as well as long-term vision.

However, if you lean towards public service and want to devote yourself to your

You must pass the IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) in order to be admitted to IITs for an M.Sc in Physics. IITs normally require applicants to obtain a Bachelors degree with physics as a major in order to be eligible. Your pursuit of a B.Sc in Physics with Chemistry and Botany at IGNOU qualifies you for general education requirements. Check to see if your IGNOU degree particularly with regard to curricular content, satisfies IIT's particular qualifying standards.

Physics, chemistry and mathematics are the disciplines that the IIT JAM exam evaluates, thus you should study for these as well.?

For IITs, there is no home state quota, and admission is solely based on the All India Rank (AIR) in the JEE Advanced exam. You cannot apply for IITs through the Delhi state quota, as they do not have such a category.

For NITs, however, the home state quota applies. You must have completed your schooling (typically up to 12th grade) in the same state as the NIT to be eligible. In your case, if you are a Delhi resident and have completed schooling there, you would be considered for the home state quota at NIT Delhi and other NITs in Delhi

If you match the qualifying requirements, you can take the JEE Mains in 2026 after finishing your NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) exams. Your eligibility won't be impacted by the difference between your Class 10 and Class 12 grades as long you meet these requirements

Year of Passing: After passing Class 12 (or its equivalent), candidates are eligible to take the JEE Mains exam for the next two years. You can take JEE in 2026, 2027 and 2028 since you want to finish NIOS by 2026.
Subject Requirements: Since physics, chemistry and mathematics are required for JEE make sure they are covered in your NIOS curriculum.
