If your  goal is investment banking, SRCC is the more direct and efficient . But, if you value versatility, analytical rigor, and are open to additional qualifications, IIT can also be a strong choice but you may need additional degrees like BCA, MCA if you choose IIT.

IIT has it's own brand value but in financial field SRCC will be a better option for achieving your goal so choose wisely

Well, yes! If you are planning to target IITs and NITs for BTech Mechanical Engineering, the tuition fees along with additional hostel and admission charges, make the degree course quite expensive for someone coming from a lower middle-class background. Talking about the tuition fees for IITs, it is between INR 8 Lakh and INR 10 Lakh. Further, NITs charge somewhere around INR 5 Lakh.

Other than this, there are additional charges applicable for hostel accommodation for outstation students and a one-time admission fee as well. Therefore, you must think about your financial situation in advance to come to a conclusion about your preferred

Most IITs including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, admit students to their MSc Physics programs through the Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM). JAM is the centralized entrance test for MSc programs at IITs and IISc. No individual IIT conducts its own separate entrance exam for MSc Physics admission instead all rely on JAM scores for candidate selection.
