Tamil Nadu is the state, which abolished entrance exam for engineering last year. From last year onwards, the qualifying exam has been declared as class 12th. The marks will be brought down out of 200, and the merit list will be prepared. This is for the seats available for government colleges and private colleges. Deemed universities located in Tamil Nadu have the option of having their own entrance exam, and you will have to appear for one such exam, if you are interested in admission in any of these deemed universities.
