Indian Institute of Creative Skills admissions are entirely entrance-based for certificate courses. Candidates are shortlisted based on the past academic merit of Class 12. Further, they must appear for the college-level MECAT test and GD PI rounds for the final selection. Indian Institute of Creative Skills applications are accepted in online mode only. Further, candidates seeking admission to the certificate programmes must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board.

After qualifying for the institute-level MECAT (Media and Entertainment Creative Aptitude Test), students need must go through the further rounds of selection. It includes participating in the GD and PI rounds and submission of their Portfolio, which helps the institute in the final decision making for admissions.
