Best brains of the country who clear almost the highest cut-off of any B-school when combined with the advantage of the financial capital Mumbai along with the ever so conducive IIT environment gives the college an immense edge.The events at the school, which run throughout the year, include the Continuum seminar series, the annual b-fest Avenues, many other seminars, the regular guest lectures at Diksha, the alumni day, the teachers’ day, the farewell nite, the freshers’ welcome party.the list goes on.A research focus and a will to understand issues thoroughly pervades among the faculty translating into the various MDPs, industry consultancy assignments and research projects. AVENUES’ is the Business festival of IIT Bombay organized by Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay. It consists of a  of management events targeted at the budding managers and combines learning with fun. Avenues 2019 will held at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay campus from 18th Oct to 20th Oct 2019.

Fankaar is an inter-college (Arts/Commerce/Engineering/B-School) cultural competition. Participants can perform individually, in a group or as a duet. The participants can do dance performance or a musical performance (singing, instrument and so on). There will be two rounds. Exciting prizes worth Rs.25000 to be won!
