Skills of industrial engineering are applied to virtually every industry possible. This occupation can be termed versatile in the kind of work and the industries in which its expertise can be put to use. Industrial engineers may work with supply chain and also overlook production factors, safety and budgetary concerns.

Which college will admit you is very hard to answer. You also did not specify the country. You can check the university websites for admission requirements. They also mention the average GRE scores of admitted students in recent years so you will have an idea.

M.Tech is the course to do for getting placement. But unfortunately, as per survey done by AICTE, almost 25% students do not get job. May be you can learn foreign language.

MBA is engineering agnostic as far as I know. And if you are thinking of pursuing an engineering degree with the hope that someday, you will pursue MBA then that is a bit far fetched. It will be better that you take up electrical engineering because of better job prospects and research, currently, happening in this field.

NITIE Powai is the best Institute for Industrial engineering. It the premier institute, which started off as an Industrial engineering institute, now offers full-time courses in industrial engineering, post-graduate programs in industrial engineering, industrial management, industrial safety and environmental management, manufacturing management, and project management. Admission is based on graduation degree.

There are 2 sub categories in Mechanical engineering- automotive and automobile engineering. When it comes to Canada job market, Armoire is not an industry wherein there's a lot of scope for automotive engineering. Also, industrial design have a lot of scope. If you wish to pursue industrial design, please let me know. I'll shortlist a few options for you.
