Admission Process:
Admission based on TNEA entrance exam.
Eligibility Criteria-
Minimum Qualifications:
Pass in HSC (Academic) with Maths, Physics and Chemistry
(OR)
A pass in HSC (Vocational Stream) with Engineering Vocational subjects and any one or two of related subjects (Maths, Physics and Chemistry)
(OR)
Diploma in one of the Engineering Courses (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics)
(or)
Any other Equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education/Higher Secondary Board of Tamilnadu.
Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two appearances. Candidates belonging to SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than three appearances.
Minimum Marks:
For SC/ST candidates, a mere pass in the qualifying examination will suffice.
Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have obtained the following minimum percentage of marks.
A) H.S.C. (Academic) and other equivalent candidates
OC 50% average in the related subjects
BC 45% average in the related subjects
MBC I DNC 40% average in the related subjects
SC/ST 40% average in the related subjects
B) H.S.C. (Vocational) Candidates
OC 50% average in the related subjects
BC 45% average in the related subjects
MBC I DNC 40% average in the related subjects
SC/ST 40% average in the related subjects
C) Diploma Holders
OC 50% average in the related subjects
