The concepts of BCA are easier for students having done their 10+2 in Science subjects while for others, BBA is better. Both BBA and BCAare launch pads for graduate level degrees and open the doors for great careers in many industries.

Basic eligibility requirements for a BCA course:
Aspirant must have passed 10+2 from any stream with English as passing subject with minimum 45%-55% marks in aggregate ( The pass percentage might vary from college to college)
While some colleges/universities admit aspirants on merit basis, the others admit students on the basis of personal interview and written examination.

BCA in Christ University, Bangalore no BCA cutoff. You will be able to apply with your 10th and 11th class mark sheets. Selection is based on entrance test and personal interview, marks won't matter that much only condition is you should not have any backlogs in 12th class results whenever announced. It's all about how you perform in interview and test. Sometimes, even good scoring students cannot clear the interview.

All the colleges in Kolkata affiliated to MAKAUT have Mathematics as a subject in their BCA course. The only colleges in Kolkata (as far I know) that do not have Mathematics in their BCA syllabus are: Birla Institute of Technology, Kolkata and Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.

Hi Shivani, American universities are very flexible, so there could be a chance. It depends on your overall profile, how good your skills are and how you demonstrate your interest. You must have a good score in SAT must show some good computing skills etc. Write to the universities, the admission team will guide you according to your profile. You can also select your major later, apply with undecided major first, and select your major in the second year onwards. Again, this will depend on how good your skills and aptitude are.
