Hi,I would suggest you to not get into job that much earlier especially if it is not necessary or required. Firstly, do the course, further studies and mainly join the computer course to enhance your skills and practice more and more at your own.

Yes, you are eligible. By the time you will sit for the exam in 2019, you will be in your final year. So, by that time you will be eligible for it. All you need to have is either 60% or 6.5 CGPA out of 10 till the result of the semester, which you have got from your institute.

As you are in 3rd year and doing B.Tech that means you have 1 more year to go. You can give the NIMCET exam, which is going to be held in May. The only eligibility criteria is you must have either 60% or 6.5 CGPA out of 10. While filling the form put your last CGPA which you have.

Yes, nowadays people look for companies or higher packages. That's what the primary concern is. It is little bit difficult to find core jobs. People try to get enter in companies first means they want job whether in core field or communication field (as in case of ECE). In my opinion you should first go for job whether in core field or not. Because you will get to know the environment and job experience. And then you can switch to any core field and get more packages as well. Just go for experience first. Best of luck.
