Choose your path carefully. Anyone can give their suggestion. But, you've to choose the right one.
My suggestions are:
1. Go for some higher studies (MBA, MCA or any other)
2. Get some training from best industry level companies.
3. Then, you'll come to know easily that what you've to up onwards.

Yes there is very bright future. In fact there is shortage of good software and computer engineers, there are very few engineers out there who actually knows software designing, coding, working of computers. Once you learn that even at home. You will get placed. If you are willing to do hard work you can become a rock star programmer of product base companies. Good Luck

There is a slight difference between CS and IT. CS deals with software development , testing and analysis where as IT domain deals with networking, troubleshooting and other issues. Since one can learn most of the things common in both CS and IT domain while studying engineering but the work done in organization will make difference between them.
