Lakeland College has a higher rank in the international level in terms of ranking around 501-550 and offer diplomas in different fields such as business, technology and health care. There are no separate quotas for candidate of other state. However they will be given admission in case of non availability of student from UP ss per provision laid down by UP government. Priority admission given to student who have domicile of UP.

IERT is affiliated to AKTU.

The admission process is as follows: 

For 1st year students - 

Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) for admission in B.Tech 1st Year.

The students having 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST candidate) in Boards

For lateral entry students -

In Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET with three years Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc. (Math) having 45% of marks (40% marks for SC/ST) 

 Appeared in final year examination of three years Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc. (Math) or passed three years Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc. (Math) having 45% of marks (40% marks for SC/ST).

Yes, Murdoch Institute of Technology is a better option than IERT Allahabad because it has a higher QS World Ranking. It has the courses offered in broader catogory. These alumni include Visam Ali - Maldivian politician, Cora Baldock - Sociologist, and former President of the Australian Sociological Association, Adam Bandt - Australian politician who are in much capable positions as compare to IERT Allahabad alumnis. And it offers a good multicultural environment as compared to IERT Allahabad.

Given that Medicine Hat College is ranked nearly 1000th in the QS World Ranking, it is a better alternative for a Diploma than IERT Allahabad. In the World Ranking, IERT Allahabad, India is not even listed. Because of Medicine Hat College's positive multicultural atmosphere, international students can study here.
