Admission to the Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology can be moderately competitive. The college offers only BTech, MBA, MCA, and MTech courses. Admission to all these courses are done based on the scores obtained in entrance exams such as JEE Main exam for BTech and GATE for MTech. To be elgible for these exams, the candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks in previous qualificaton in a relevant stream.

The quality of food in the hostel mess of Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology is not considered so good; it is considered average. The hostel is located in the middle of the forest, but everything is available nearby. The college also has a canteen. The food served in the canteen is also of average quality.

It also invites various companies to participate in the placement drives. The highest package offered at the college is INR 12 LPA, and the average package is around INR 4 LPA. More than 60% of the students get placed every year.
