Candidates who manage to secure the minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 for UG level admissions and 50% in graduation for PG level admissions will be able to qualify the first round. Furthermore, candidates must qualify the given entrance exams (if any) and meet the cutoff rank/score for the final admission. The Institute has laid down several qualification criteria, and candidates who intend to secure a confirmed seat must qualify them all.

For distribution of IHM Bangalore BSc seats, NCHMCT JEE follows the seat reservation policy framed by the GOI. As per that, the college has reserved a total of 22% of the seats for admission of SC/ST category students to its BSc HHA programme. The seat reservation breakdown for the SC/ST category is as follows:

  • 15% seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes (SC) category
  • 7% seats have been reserved for the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category

To be considered for IHM Bangalore BSc admission, it is essential that candidates fulfil the eligibility conditions set by the institute. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates who have passed Class 12 with English as a subject of study are eligible to apply. Moreover, the candidates must also have a valid NHMCT JEE score.

Unless the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) offers a particular pathway or conversion course, a sociology honours graduate with a BE (Bachelor of Engineering) degree is probably not directly eligible for an M.Sc. (Master of Science) programme in Hotel Management or any related field.  A bachelor's degree in a related field, like hospitality and hotel administration, is required for the majority of IHM M.Sc. programs.

To be eligible for BSc programme, candidates must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognised board with English as one of the compulsory subjects. Final selection for the same is based on a valid score obtained in NCHMCT JEE.

You might have to go upto the third round if we go by the last year's data. But you will get admission in IHM, Bangalore considering your reservation.
