Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PiMSR) trains students for Master of Management Studies under the aegis of the prestigious University of Mumbai with approval from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, has awarded the institute an 'A' grade. PiMSR started with MMS course having just 30 students in 1998 and grew to 120 seats by 2006. In 2007, the PGDM courses were launched and now the institute has grown phenomenally to 720 students. The institute now has earned name and popularity in Maharashtra. Master of Management Studies (MMS) is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) w.e.f. 4th January, 2013.
PiMSR has a full-fledged dedicated placement cell with specialist placement officer and staff. In addition, placement committees of the students as well as faculty are appointed to support efforts of the placement cell. Placement cell and the placement committees work as a team to ensure good final as well as summer placement. Some of the prominent names of recruiters include Federal Bank, Syntel, Blue Star Ltd., Baker Hughes, HFFC, Berger Paints, Kuehne + Nagel, Marathon Group,CMIE, Delmonte, Capegemini, Selec Control Pvt. Ltd. and many more . The average and highest salary package offering are Rs 4 and 9.20 LPA respectively. So I am giving here 6 marks out of 10 to this institute.
