Yes, IIIT Pune is a tier 1 IIIT. Being a tier 1 college, the placements, infrastructure, and other college facilities are very good. The facilities provided by this tier 1 college are many.

Yes, IIIT Pune is worth all the hype. IIIT Pune has been ranked at the 128th position by the Times 2025 for BTech. IIIT Pune conducts several events for students like TrustAI Ideathon 2026 as an official Pre-Summit event of the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 and others. There are various facilities available for the IIIT Pune students that many other IIITs don't even offer.

IIIT Pune JEE Main cutoff 2025 was concluded with the release of the cutoff for various All India categories.
For the General AI category, BTech CSE had an overall cutoff range of 17707 to 27931. On the other hand, for the OBC AI quota, the overall cutoff varied from 7411 to 40318. For information about other categories, see the table below.

As per the 2025 cutoffs and closing ranks, B.Tech CSE remained the most competitive branch, closing at 27,931. ECE remains relatively less competitive and it closed at 38,412.

Yes, the cutoff ranks dropped significantly from Round 1 to the final round. For example, CSE dropped from 17,707 to 27,931, and ECE dropped from 23,113 to 38,412 in 2025, offering a wider range for admission as counselling went on!
