Students who are appearing for the Class 12 board exams and also IPMAT should know that they need to balance IPMAT preparation with Class 12 boards. Students can prioritize Class 12 board exams as they are important for academic performance and admission to IPMAT colleges.

Preparing for board exams will build a strong base for IPMAT preparation as well. By identifying the common topics, students can prioritize and organize IPM and boards syllabus accordingly. Students should regularly revise the topics through a revision plan which covers the complete syllabus.

Yes, many students have cleared IPMAT without any formal coaching. What matters is how well one understands concepts, apply them under timed conditions, and adapt based on mock test analysis.

Yes, IPMAT books can be used for SET exam preparation as both are BBA entrance exams. Candidates can use same books for preparing for topics such as Quantitative Aptitude and General English. However, the difficulty level of SET exam is much easier as compared to that of IPMAT exam.

Students should not begin preparing for new topics in the last few days of the IPMAT exam. This will only cram their mind and they may falter. However, they must revise the key topics of the IPMAT syllabus.  Students should also take ample mokc tests and solve previous years' question papers to know the key topics. They must focus on topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry. For the VA section, students should strengthen their vocabulary with the help of newspapers and editorials and practice grammar exercises.

More than 60% of all the numerical are from Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus. One can also consider taking coaching for the sections they find difficult. The two sections based on Quantitative Aptitude are different in nature. One section has MCQs while the other has Short Answer Type questions.

You can use the following tips to improve your reading speed in IPMAT preparation.

  • Avoid "sounding out" the words in your head while reading. Instead, focus on recognizing whole words and phrases at a glance.
  • Don't get bogged down by every detail. Aim to grasp the overall meaning and key points of the passage.
  • Look for transitions and clues in the text to predict what might come next.
  • Use your finger or a pen as a guide as you read, moving it quickly along the lines of text.
  • Train yourself to read groups of words instead of individual ones. This expands your visual field and allows for faster comprehension.
