Yes, even if the students are from the commerce stream without maths, they can still prepare for the IPMAT exam without coaching. The formal coaching has its own perks, but students can also fetch good marks with IPMAT self-preparation. IPMAT exam preparation without coaching may require the students to put in extra effort but it is possible.
Students can refer to NCERT mathematics books from Class 9 to Class 12 for starters. The important topics would include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, etc.

Students should not begin preparing for new topics in the last few days of the IPMAT exam. This will only cram their mind and they may falter. However, they must revise the key topics of the IPMAT syllabus. Students should also take ample mokc tests and solve previous years' question papers to know the key topics. They must focus on topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry. For the VA section, students should strengthen their vocabulary with the help of newspapers and editorials and practice grammar exercises.
Students should not forget to revise important formulas, theorems, and concepts for mathematics, and practice

Yes, students can crack the IPMAT exam within 6 months with a strategic and dedicated preparation. Students should begin their IPMAT preparation with understanding the exam pattern and covering the IPMAT syllabus. IPMAT is a competitive exam conducted by the IIM Indore. IPMAT is usually considered a difficult exam which can make cracking the IPMAT exam in one month tricker. But, a month of dedication and discipline can fetch the aspirants a good score. A month of IPMAT preparation requires structured study plan, consistent practice, revision and time management.
Students should take dedicated IPMAT mock tests, solve previous years' question papers and closely montior the progress.

Yes, one can appear for the IPMAT exam even if they didn't have mathematics in Class 12. There are no specific requirements of the IPMAT exam for having studied mathematics.
However, cracking IPMAT without having studied Mathematics in Class 11 and 12 can be a bit tricky and challenging. This is because higher level Mathematics dominate the exam. More than 60% of all the numerical are from Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus. One can also consider taking coaching for the sections they find difficult. The two sections based on Quantitative Aptitude are different in nature. One section has MCQs while the other has Short Answer Type questions.

- Avoid "sounding out" the words in your head while reading. Instead, focus on recognizing whole words and phrases at a glance.
