Yes, students who are in Class 12 or are awaiting their Class 12 board results can certainly apply for the IPMAT Indore exam. The basic eligibility criteria for appearing for the IPMAT 2026 exam is as follows:
The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories.
- The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2024, 2025, or in 2026.
Also, the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026.

Yes, a 17 year old can give the IPMAT exam. The maximum age limit to be eligible to appear for the IPMAT Indore exam is 20 years as on July 31, of the given year. There is a relaxation in the age limit for the reserved category students. The candidates belonging to the General or NC-OBC category must be a maximum of 20 years and the students belonging to other reserved categories can be a maximum of 22 years in the admission year.
Including this, the students should also fulfil the academic IPMAT eligibility criteria to be able to take the IPMAT exam and IPM Admissions.

Yes, one can appear for the IPMAT exam even if they didn't have mathematics in Class 12. There are no specific requirements of the IPMAT exam for having studied mathematics. IPMAT stands for Integrated programme in Management Aptitude Test and is conducted by IIM Indore for admission to their five-year Integrated Management Program. Various other prominent institutes also accept the IPMAT scores, including IIM Ranchi and IIFT. Yes, IPMAT 2024 has an age limit that candidates must adhere to. No candidates belonging to the General or NC OBC category above the age of 20 are allowed to take the examination, followed by a limit of 22 years for candidates belonging to ST, SC, or PwD Category. The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the IPMAT exam is a score of at least 60% aggregate in both Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent for the General and NC-OBC categories. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) categories.
Also, the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026. The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026.

The eligibility criteria for IPMAT is as follows:
Applicants belonging to the General or NC OBC category must not be more than 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026, at the time of filling the IPMAT application form 2026. The age should not be more than 22 years as of July 31, 2026, for the applicants belonging to SC, ST, PwD (DA) categories. Candidates belonging to the Foreign Nationals category must have been born on or after August 1, 2006.
Candidates must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or institution.
General and Non-Creamy Other Backwards Classes (NC-OBC) category candidates

The attempts at IPMAT Indore depend on the age criteria of the candidate. The eligibility criteria in terms of age for this entrance is that the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026, (for IPMAT Indore 2026) if you belong to the General, OBC or EWS category. Whereas there is 5-year relaxation for SC, ST and PWD candidates.
