If the cut-off of Banarasidas Chandivala is 21270 and your rank is 24400. You have not got the admission still, maybe, you can wait for further rounds to get admission.

Placements for mechanical in MAIT are around 70%.
10- 15% students go for further studies. Core companies that visit the campus are very less, 2 or 3 only. Nearly 50 IT companies visit the campus every year which include Adobe, Amazon, TCS and sometimes Microsoft also. Faculty for mechanical is very good and friendly.

Your rank in IPU CET will determine which college you will get at IP University. The counselling sessions that happen after the entrance exam will determine where you will get admission. The counselling happens at 2-3 stages, which I assume have already taken place, especially the first counselling.
