Yes, ISACA certifications do expire. These need to be renewed on a 3-year cycle by meeting the annual maintenance and education requirements listed below:
- Complete a minimum of 20 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours per year (120 hours over a 3-year cycle)
- Pay an annual certification maintenance fee
- Report CPE activities and pay the fee by Dec 31 of each year
Note: Maintaining certification status does not require an active ISACA membership. However, it does help with discounts on training and CPE opportunities.

ISACA certifications are given on a common scale of 200-800. Students need a score of 450 or higher to pass. Score of 800 is the perfect score (all questions correctly answered). Score of 200 is the lowest score possible (only some questions were answered correctly)
Note: Scoring varies for different certfications. The above is valid for CISA, CISM, AAIA, AAISM, CCOA, CRISC, CDPSE, and CGEIT certifications.
