The college offers courses like B.Tech at UG level, and M.Tech, MBA and MCA at the PG level in various specializations.
Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech will have to appear in TS EAMCET. The admission for M.Tech will be given to the eligible candidates who scored minimum marks either in GATE or TS PGECET as per required by the college.

No, J.B. Institute of Engineering and Technology give 100% scholarship. But, there are variois scholarships available. All students who are admited through convenor quota are eligible for fee Remebursment. The government will pay INR 35000 to student. There are some other scholarships avaiable at the college inclunding scholarships for SC and ST students.

Students can join various clubs existing like Music Club, Photography Club, and Literary Club. Efforts are on towards starting new clubs say Astronomy Club, Amateur Radio Club, Environment Club etc. Organized by SAC, a number of literary and social activities take place on the campus throughout the year. 'INXS' is one of the biggest events of the Institute every year.

All of the courses at the college are available to students in a regular, offline mode. The JBIT admission is offered to all of its programmes based on a candidate's performance in the relevant entrance exam and the most recent qualifying exam. The college accepts a number of entrance tests for admission, including TS EAMCET (for B.Tech courses), and GATE or TS PGCET (for M.Tech courses).
