JEE Main Preparation

Firstly, your thinking and confidence is very nice for cracking entrance examinations because a very few students have confidence that they will be able to crack JEE Mains and Advanced with the home level study, but self-study is more and more profitable as compared to coaching level study. But you should be away from distractions like television and others at home. Your focus and hard work should be only directed towards JEE then you will surely get success. Top rankers in any exam do their study at their home level but you take guidance from old papers and any JEE qualifiers. JEE Mains syllabus is from NCERT and for JEE Advanced you can take material from any past JEE qualifiers. For JEE Mains, you should only prepare from NCERT syllabus with a good manner. Solve more and more past year JEE questions and guide questions and chemistry have maximum questions from NCERT book as it is. So I advise you to cover NCERT syllabus first.

Hi Maran, JEE Mains is one of the most accepted entrance examination for admissions to BE / B.Tech courses. As a friend, I would suggest you to prepare thoroughly for the same. Preparing for the exams within two weeks is not something which is impossible (if you are an intelligent kid) but why take chances? My advice to you would be to dedicate 3-4 hours daily for JEE Main preparations. Also, join a good coaching centre for taking mock tests. All the 3 subjects I.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are equally important and you have to work sufficiently on each of them. If you are competent enough to solve the questions from all the three subjects, try to gain expertise on your the strongest part/ favorite area.
Instead of learning new topics, try to revise already completed syllabus.
Prepare a proper study place and stick to it. Don't study in a haphazard manner.
You can plan in one of the following manners
You can study the 3 subjects daily by dividing the total study time.
You can study a particular subject for 1 or 2 days and change the subject after that.
You can even plan to study 3 subjects in a week and revise on the 7th day. Quick revision is possible if you form a habit of noting main points on a separate sheet while studying.

Hello,
It's good that you want to start your JEE Mains and Advanced preparations from 11th standard. That means you have 1 year to prepare for these exams.
The 11th class syllabus covers 40% marks in the IIT JEE exam. So, you have the chance to hold a good command over these topics from now onwards. So, when you will be class 12th, you have to study that syllabus only for JEE exam.
Remember, keep revising class 11th topics along with class 12th concepts.
After you complete class 11th and 12th syllabus, it's time for revision and practice.
Practice mock tests and previous years papers of JEE exam which will surely add scores to your result.
