It depends on the area where you live. Prefer better faculty first. If you're an average student, interact with seniors. Keep in mind the pros and cons of joining each institute and then take your decision. Even then Allen test material is good. If private tutors are better, join them. Good here means someone who is tried and tested on the JEE level, not on the school level. Approach a teacher who can make you understand things is better than one who gives tough questions and is unable to make you understand them if both the teachers are of the same level.

Try for IISC or IISER or just through KVPY or JEE Advanced. The best colleges are under JEE so it's not waste of time if you are in position to crack it or else B.Sc physics is always an option then IIT JAM for Masters.

For JEE main, NCERT will be really useful. Other than that, try:
1. HC Verma for physics
2. RD Sharma for maths
3. P Bahadur for physical chemistry
4. NCERT will do for organic and inorganic chemistry (along with some coaching modules if you can get them somehow)
5. This is really important: Do not forget to do previous year papers and some sample papers based on current format and syllabus. It helps a lot. Really.
It will be a really daunting task to finish off your preparation in 5 months alone because if you haven't had the motivation to start preparing till now, then it is going to be so tough, trust me.

You can take some help from the following tips & tricks to crack JEE Exam 2019.
Understand the basic usage of formulas and concepts you have noted.
Make a fixed schedule.
Make a list of books and notes and study material, you want to prepare from.
Make a complete sight on the syllabus for exams.
Mark the important topics and read them first.
Ask to your teachers, if you have any doubt.
