He has a got a chance for most NITs barring the top ones at Trichy and Surathkal. In 2017, 130 marks in OBC category was enough to get an NIT.

Chances are quite less, though you may get a seat in last or spot round if some seats remain vacant in some government college. But, I would suggest you not to wait for it as chances are quite less, explore your other option whatever you have with other colleges and entrance exam.
All the best.

Hi Ritik,
Wait for the result which decides the cut-off. If you crossed cut-off, there may be little bit chance for any state government college. But if you get this you are unable to get branch according to your choice. To have to choose such branches in that college in which seats are left vacant.

Your rank totally depends on Mains score. So, 12th class score is not important and from this score. You will get average government college according to me.

They consider JEE rank + boards mark for admission though your % in 10th and 12th should be equal to or greater than 60 percent if your rank is less than 3 Lacs in JEE Mains or less than 50k in UPSEE than you need not to write there entrance exam else yo have to write SUAT. Shortlistes candidates are called for personal interviews, candidates are selected on the basis of 10+2 marks score in JEE Mains or UPSEE and performance in personal interview.

Yes, you may get admission in an NIIT, but it won't be any of the top NIts.
