Almost, all the colleges including the private one's consider JEE Mains marks for admission. The cut-off generally varies from college to college and also on the basis of that year's JEE cut-off.
Some colleges also offer direct admission on the basis of class 12th marks.

SASTRA has two streams for entry. Stream-1 takes an aggregate of JEE and board marks (75% JEE and 25% board). Stream-2 considers only board marks. Your counselling call will depend on your AIR (All India Rank) which is determined by the aggregate percentile in respective streams. It all depends on the paper difficulty and other parameters. But as a thumb rule, 170+ in JEE Mains should guarantee you a seat in at least any of the course.
