According to previous year statistics your rank will be around 20k. In other state quota, you can get Electrical and Mechanical in Silchar, Patna, Jamshedpur and so on. Since this times cut off is low, you might get higher ranked NITs also.

To be very honest I dont think it is possible. If you have given entrance for IP university then may be you can get some college there based upon your rank.

NSIT is excellent for computer engineering. The cutoff is generally a rank of 4-5k for the general delhi category and around 2k for the outside delhi(general) people. I get really incensed when I talk about the category cutoffs so I would better stay silent about them.

Admission in NSIT depends only on the scores in boards and mains. Getting COE in NSIT seems tough with 147 in mains unless you have a category. Although you can surely get computer engineering in some college of IP university with a rank of 1997.

Yes he can surely get admission in NSIT although the branch remains uncertain. With the mentioned scores he can get ECE and if you are a delhiite it would help a lot. Even if you are not you can get ice or other branches like MPAE, mechanical etc.

I am assuming you mean NSIT. Although I hardly have any idea about the Telangana board, 98% seems quite a decent score. I think you can get CS in NSIT and if you are from Delhi, it would be a lot better.
