Hello, very interesting query indeed. However there are no answers at the moment. Due to pandemic the commencement of new session is getting delayed, due to this time table for the exam of 12th incoming 2021 is nowhere insight. Only after some clarity on this, National testing agency will take a call on the dates for JEE Mains and the concerned IIT for JEE Advanced. We all have to have patience and wait. Best wishes to you.

Hello Rahul, I am afraid there is just no link between marks and rank though in general one can say that lower marks means lower rank and higher marks mean higher rank. However ranking in this exam is just not dependent on marks but on the concept of percentile. Be that as it may, only national testing agency can tell you your rank. Best wishes to you.

Hello Digambar, national testing agency has declared results of JEE Mains. They have also declared cutoff in terms of percentile for general and each catagory. This information is available readily on their website. I too can tell this if you can tell me your son's percentile and catagory. If his percentile us better than this then only he can seek admission in any NIT. Best wishes to you.

Hello Dinesh, invariably every state has some or the other entrance exam for admitting students to engineering colleges in that state. Some States have decided to use scores of JEE Mains for giving admissions. If your state has this then you can get admission based on this score. There is one more option. Many state have all India quota that is filled up based on JEE Mains score. But information about number of seats under this quota is released very late. In this you need to visit site of dte of tech education if intended state to find out. Best wishes to you.
