The National Testing Agency NTA prescribes the JIPMAT exam pattern. JIPMAT is conducted as a computer-based test for admission into IPM courses offered by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. The JIPMAT exam pattern comprises questions from three sections, namely:
1. Quantitative Aptitude
2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
3. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

It is difficult to categorise any section as the easiest in the JIPMAT exam as the difficulty level of each section varies from year to year. Additionally, it depends on the individuals strengths and weaknesses. The JIPMAT exam has three sections, namely, Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC). Each section carries an equal weightage of 33.33% in the exam. However, to round off the 33.33 per cent distribution, QA and DILR have 33 questions each. While the VARC section has 34 questions. NTA releases the JIPMAT answer key in two phases. Initially, the preliminary answer key is facilitated on the official website. Candidates can access the preliminary answer key of JIPMAT within a week of the exam date. Candidates are given an option to raise objections against the preliminary answer key. These objections are considered to draft a final answer key.

The final answer key of JIPMAT exam is released along with the declaration of results on the official website. NTA will use the JIPMAT final answer key to evaluate the performance of the candidate in the JIPMAT exam.
