Hi Nitika,
Journalism in India has considerable employment scope these days, with media houses opening new channels or newspapers on a regular basis. While salaries are shooting up, the pool of skilled and qualified journalists is not keeping pace. Without a sufficient number of good reporters and editors, the challenge that the profession faces is of enforcing more rigorous professional standards.

Vaishnavi, There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. Hi Dhanshree,
If you are looking for career prospects for Journalism abroad, make sure you have some hands on experience in India with some recognized firm where you have learned your specialization and skills.
You also need to have a degree in Journalism.
First, you can build your portfolio by helping out in a media outlet's foreign bureau.
Also opt for some internship initially. It presents a golden opportunity for upstart journalists.
You can choose to work on a Print Journalism placement - working with a newspaper or magazine - or on a broadcast placement.
