Sports journalism is a vital element of any news media organisation, and as the name suggests, it is essentially a sports reporting career. Media, I.e. Television, radio, magazines and the internet have become an essential part of one's life and sports fans turn to these for the latest updates and news in sports. I don't think there is a degree course for Anchoring. You can always opt for fields like Mass communication, for that will even help you improve your communication skills and also will get you, so many opportunities in anchoring as well and in script writing.

Hi Sarah!. The IPU CET is not a very difficult test. You just need to practice your language skills and analytical ability. Apart from this, the exam also has a quantitative aptitude test which is basically 9th-10th standard maths. General knowledge and media awareness are also important so read a lot of newspaper. Browse about the top news channels and media personalities over the internet to gain more knowledge about the media. You can also refer to the Journalism entrance exam coaching books available in the market to understand the paper pattern.

Hi Dipanshu!
To become an anchor, you do not need any educational qualification as such. It is a talent-based profession, it requires a good command over language and a sense of humour. An anchor must maintain wit and humour at all times to make up for any slip of tongue that they may make. It is of utmost importance to have good communication skills and fluent language. In order to become a reporter, you need to have a journalism degree or Diploma because the news channels hire only professionals with media related education background.
