Hi Dipanshu!
To become an anchor, you do not need any educational qualification as such. It is a talent-based profession, it requires a good command over language and a sense of humour. An anchor must maintain wit and humour at all times to make up for any slip of tongue that they may make. It is of utmost importance to have good communication skills and fluent language. In order to become a reporter, you need to have a journalism degree or Diploma because the news channels hire only professionals with media related education background.

Hi Mrunal,
I would suggest you to complete your higher secondary education to take up journalism or any other Diploma/degree course. A degree course will anyway have a better value in the industry when it comes to employment. However, some institutes do offer short term Diploma after 10th but it will be wiser to complete your 12th.

If you are willing to do PG from distance, IGNOU is the best option. But for applying in IGNOU, you must hold minimum 2 years of experience in any media firm. So, I'll mention some other Universities offering distance courses. Hi Dear,
For CET journalism and mass communication preparation, you must be well aware about the current affairs and political scenario. Other than this, you must have a good knowledge of English (synonyms, antonyms, homophones, tenses, articles, prepositions, punctuation). Reasoning aptitude and media reasoning must also be good. Below mentioned links may help you. IPU CET B.J.M.C. 2018: Admission, Cutoff, Pattern, Syllabus:

Dear student,
I would suggest you Centre for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) at Punjabi University, Patiala. The fee structure is quite less as compared to other public and private institutions. The department also works on some UGC sponsored projects. The university also provides hostel facility with nominal charges of Rs. 2100 for six months excluding food (with food it is approximately Rs. 2000 per month).
