While doing the course, Media Houses are approached by the students for trainings and placements and hence the jobs come. Media Houses prefer people.with academic credentials these days. A degree in English, Hindi or.the related language is also preferred. One can be a Journalist by experience and Public Relations, Interpersonal Skills as well.
2. To be very True, Salary initially is not lucrative in this career. As a Local Journalist you end up earning for what gets published or telecasted. However, of you are hired after graduation anything 12K plus taking you as part time or 15,000 to 20,000 as full time can be expected. Someone who has done a Master Degree can expect a small increase. BUT, Salary completely Depends on your Skills because this is a Performance Based Job. For example A Local Stinger is offered.10k to 15k by Times of India, in Haryana. A Principal Correspondent, after a rich experience may be getting 50k to.70k per Month.
