KIT Kanpur, PSIT Kanpur, and UGI Allahabad each offer 60 seats for the DPharm programme. However, the admission criteria vary: KIT Kanpur accepts JEECUP scores, while UGI Allahabad admits students based on merit and for PSIT Kanpur the institute accepts the scores of both entrance examinations i.e., CUET UG/ JEECUP.

The tuition fees for DPharm courses at KIT Kanpur is INR 2.2 lakh, and the tuition fees for DPharm at PSIT Kanpur is INR 1 lakh. Conclusively, the tuition fees of PSIT Kanpur are more affordable compared to the KIT Kanpur. JEECUP is an annual entrance examination conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council to provide admissions into the participating Polytechnic institutes of the state. The courses offered through JEECUP 2025 are Technology, Engineering and Pharmacy. To stay informed, candidates are advised to regularly check the institute's official website. To get admission into the course, candidates are required to complete Class 12 with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory and Biology/ Mathematics as optional subjects.

Both the DPharm course and the BPharm programme have similar basic eligibility requirements, which include candidates must qualify for their Class 12 from the PCM/PCB stream. The selection process is based on the scores candidates achieved in the JEE CUP entrance examination. However, there are some vacant seats that candidates can secure through direct admission but for that too, candidates are required to fulfil certain eligibility criteria.
