Kanpur Institute of Technology (KIT) is a private institute and was established in 2004. The institute is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It is affiliated with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (Formerly UP Technical University) and Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.
