KARTET Paper 1 consists of 5 sections, namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Each section contains 30 questions, with a total of 150 questions and a maximum score of 150 marks.

In the KARTET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. KARTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the KARTET exam.
