No, the syllabus for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is not the same.The syllabus is important for preparationm.

The syllabus is based on the topics covered in the primary and upper primary school curriculum. The test assess the candidate's knowledge of the relevant subjects.

Candidates should be a minimum of 18 of age in order to be eligible to apply for the KARTET exam. There is no upper age limit for the KARTET exam. The educational qualification to apply for the KARTET exam has been given below for the candidates:
Primary
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd)
- Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passed)
Upper Primary
- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Graduation

Candidates can check below KARTET shift timings:
- Paper 1 is conducted from 10:00 am-12:30 pm
- Paper 2 is conducted from 2:30-5:00 pm f
