The advantages of KJ Somaiya College of engineering are:
1. In the KJSCE exams end earlier than Mumbai University and you get a decent amount of time to prepare for your GRE/GMAT and TOEFL/IELTS. If you utilize this time well, you might be able to score good marks in these exams, making things easier or you can do internship to make your profile better. Plus, autonomous colleges have early re-exams. So, even if you fail (try not to), KT in 8th semester won't be an issue in your schedule.

It is known for old and architectural infrastructure faculty with great experience and knowledge facilities provided by it like sports complex, Wi-Fi and labs are well equipped by the instruments and machines.
There are many colleges which are affiliated to Anna University.

For computer science engineering 182 offers were bagged by the students in 2016-17.
The minimum salary offered was around 2LPA while the average salary was between 3 - 4.5 LPA. The maximum salary offered was around 10 LPA (across all branches).

The college happens to offer the best of the placement in Southern India because of the fact that the acceptance rate of students in the college is really low because of which the college has only good quality students which are able to get through big package offers given by the companies.

If placement is the parameter for judging the college, it is poor.
Some of the companies that show up during the placement drive for recruiting computer engineers in the college are:
Siemens. Tata Technologies, ICFAI University, BASF, Patni Computers, Bharat Forge Limited and Nihilent Technologies.
The college provides an average placement package of around 2.5 LPA which was seen in the year 2016 for Computer Science Students. Hence I would advise you not to take admission in this college
