Hi Shanmukha, if you're already pursuing Engineering then I'd recommend you to go for 3 year LLB. 5 year LLB is also an option but it's longer and ideal for those who have finished their 10+2 but for graduates, there's a 3-year LLB Programme that they can enroll. It's comprehensive, and you will be eligible to practice law on finishing the Course. The weightage is the same on both the courses. However, for NLU's you have to appear for CLAT and on qualifying the exam you can get admission in one of the NLU's. But CLAT is for 5 year LLB and not for 3 year LLB. So choose wisely. Hi Swaraj,
National institute of open schooling got equal and same recognition like CBSE, ICSE and other state syllabus. Studying under NIOS is not at all bad. You're just being part of the worlds the largest open school network. So on passing 12, you can study law. But, you need to have a degree before you can study law. Or u can go for this integrated course BBA B.A. B.Com LL.B. Better option is to go for an integrated course as you can save an year. Because for integrated course the duration will be five years whereas it will take 6 years if you do two degrees separately.
