The selection process goes through two routes: direct admission and entrance tests. The institutions taking direct admission select the students on the basis of merit list. The institution that prefer entrance test as admission accept the scores of entrance test for law programs like CLAT, AILET and ISAT. Some universities like GGSIPU may conduct their won entrance test. After clearing the entrance, some institutes may require the qualified candidates to appear for interview for selection process. Note: students who have completed 10+2 or graduation through Open University with no prior qualification in prosecuting are not eligible to apply.

UGC NET 2018 Eligibility:
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Masters degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria.
