Generally, there is no one right LLB subject that prepares you for LLM. If someone wants to study a particular area of LLM then the ideal choice would fall towards that specific area. Here's why:
LLM Specializations: A Master of Laws is more specific in the areas of law that students pursue when in the course.
Alignment with Specialization: While switching from an LLB programme to an LLM programme might be relatively easy, the choice of courses that you took in your LLB that relates with your preferred LLM specialisation can serve as a foundation and thus make the switch easier.

Yes, DSNLU accepts CLAT score for admission to BA LLB (Hons) course. As per the DSNLU cutoff 2024, the closing rank for BA LLB (Hons) Round-1 and last round was 1233 and 1390, respectively. The rank improved from 2080 in 2023 to 1390 in 2024. Candidates must score well in CLAT to get a seat in the university. One must also fulfil the eligibility criteria for BA LLB (Hons) for admission.

Candidates who have completed an LLM course may further their studies in which they either complete MPhil or PhD in Law, also known as LLD. However, if candidates want to make a career in the field of law then they can go through the below-mentioned job profiles. There are a total of 240 seats for the BA LLB (Hons) programme. Candidates are admitted as per the sanctioned seat intake. UPES shall reserve the right to revise the seat count. The university fill seats up to 20% through the Board Merit/CLAT AIR/UL-SAT India Category. If seats are left vacant, then those can be filled through ULSAT. It must be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

The curriculum of the UPES School of Law BA LLB (H) course include core and elective subjects. It is a five-year course divided into 10 semesters. Each of the course semester has a list of subjects in it. In the first three years, the syllabus is for BA and in the next two years is of LLB course. Some of the subjects included in the course curriculum are:
- Poverty and Indian Agriculture
- Economics of Public Policy
- Indian Economy
- Introduction to Public Economics
- Economics of Crime

For admission to BA LLB (Hons) course, aspirants must first check the minimum eligibility requirements. The eligible candidates can apply for ULSAT exam conducted by the university. Aspirants can apply for admission with a valid score of CLAT/LSAT as well, however, the score must meet the university requirements. Further, candidates with 75% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 are also exempted from ULSAT.
The school further may release a merit list or inform selected candidates through any other means. Selected candidates can further pay the admission fee amount to confirm their seat.

To study a Telecommunications Law course in India, you usually need to have completed a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB), either through a five-year integrated programme or a three-year LLB program, with a minimum required percentage depending on the institution essentially, a basic 10+2 education is required to be eligible for an LLB programme which is the prerequisite for studying Telecommunications Law.
